March 2006:

Read Codes and Business Rules for New QOF

The final version of the Datasets and Business Rules for the QOF for next year has been approved. This includes all the codes, and how they are applied.

For each area there are two documents - one for Read 4 byte codes, the other covers Read 5 byte, Clinical Terms Version 3 (CTV3) and SNOMED-CT. This means that there are 42 separate documents in total.

Each document includes the list of codes and then the rules that the extraction software will use and in what order.

The documents can be downloaded as a 'zip' file of Word
